CodeNexus is built with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We keep things straightforward — no legalese, no surprises.

Local Data Storage

Your core app progress, saved code, and learning content are stored locally on your device. CodeNexus does not have a traditional user-account backend that stores personal profiles or learning history on our servers. Your work stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Crash Diagnostics

To keep the app stable and fix bugs quickly, CodeNexus may collect crash diagnostics and error reports. This data includes technical information about the error (such as stack traces and device type) and is used solely for improving app stability. It does not include your personal code, progress, or any identifying information beyond what is necessary for debugging.

AI Features and Data Sharing

CodeNexus offers AI-powered features that help you learn and write code. When you use these features, the prompts, code snippets, and context you provide may be sent to the selected AI provider to generate responses. This is necessary for the AI functionality to work.

You can use CodeNexus's built-in shared AI path, or bring your own API key to connect directly to an AI provider of your choice. When using your own key, requests go directly from the app to that provider under your own account and terms.

No Ad Tracking or Data Sales

CodeNexus does not use ad-tracking technologies and does not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not serve advertisements or share data with advertising networks.

Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control over it:

• Access your data: Open your app settings to view all locally stored progress, code, and preferences.
• Delete your data: Use the app settings to clear your progress, saved code, or all local data at any time.
• Export your data: Where supported, use the app's export features to download a copy of your locally stored information.
